TRANSNAFTA JSC Pancevo was founded by the Government of the Republic of Serbia in the year 2005, for the purpose of performing activities of public interest. The company’s main task is creating conditions for the secure, safe and reliable transport of crude oil via pipeline, thereby ensuring the continuity of crude oil supply.
Crude oil and petroleum products storage has the significant role in ensuring security of energy supply, especially in case of market disruption caused by shortages usually followed by energy prices increase.
Petroleum products pipelines ensure the safest and the most cost-effective transport of petroleum products to consumer centres, modern products management, reduced losses and reduced leakage possibility.
The main advantage of using a crude oil and petroleum products pipeline transport is reflected in reduced fuel consumption, and thus in reduced emissions of pollutants and “greenhouse gases” into environment, that may have impacts on the climate characteristics at the local, regional and global level.
